Gayà summoned to the national team by Rodrigo

Friday, 31 August, 2018

José Luis Gayà is one of the great novelties in the first summon of Luis Enrique as a Spanish national team coach. The Valencia CF left-back goes with Rodrigo Moreno, a regular in La Roja, on the list of players summoned for the matches against England and Croatia of the League of Nations. In addition, another of the novelties is the return to the call after several years of absence of the Valencian and former Valencia CF player Raúl Albiol, currently playing for the Italian Naples.
Luis Enrique had five valencian players during the preselection and finally two are summoned. Carlos Soler, Dani Parejo and Santi Mina are also in the plans of the coach but will have to wait for another occasion.
Spain will start its first round to access the Eurocup 2020 with two matches corresponding to the newly created League of Nations. It will be played on Saturday September 8 against England at Wembley and on Tuesday the 11th against Croatia at the Martínez Valero stadium in Elche. They will be the first matches without Iniesta, a player who has led a generation and who inscribed his name for posterity, scoring the goal of the 2010 World Cup final.
